Influential Women of Northwest Indiana is an organization devote to providing women with the resources, recognition and motivation necessary to be successful in the business world.  Every year, Influential Women hosts a banquet, honoring the most influential and up-and-coming women in each of eleven different industries, ranging from construction and healthcare to education and government. This year, the Influential Women of Northwest Indiana Awards Banquet will be held Thursday, May 31, 2012, from 5:00-8:00pm at the Radisson Star Plaza in Merrillville, IN.  Included in the massive annual event are cocktails, a gourmet dinner and an awards ceremony. Also given to each attendee will be the debut issue of the Influential Women of NWI magazine. The 48-page, full-color magazine is informative and locally-created. It honors the 2011 winners and 2012 nominees, champions women in the workplace, highlights women's struggles and offers the only directory of Northwest Indiana woman-owned businesses in the region. This directory contains the contact information for over 500 businesses, ranging in industries from automotive, construction, financial, legal, manufacturing, photography, retail, transportation and everything in between.
